My first book, My Friend Sancho, was published in May 2009, and went on to become the biggest selling debut novel released that year in India. It is a contemporary love story set in Mumbai, and had earlier been longlisted for the Man Asian Literary Prize 2008. To learn more about the book, click here.

Megan McArdle has an interesting post on the subject of animal rights, where she says that she finds it plausible “that animals could have limited rights.” It’s a thorny issue, but I think ultimately anyone who argues for animals having rights is doing so from emotion, and then perhaps rationalising and couching it in reason.
That, of course, is not a process restricted to animal rights.

Update: McArdle has a follow-up post on the subject.
