My Friend Sancho

My first book, My Friend Sancho, was published in May 2009, and went on to become the biggest selling debut novel released that year in India. It is a contemporary love story set in Mumbai, and had earlier been longlisted for the Man Asian Literary Prize 2008. To learn more about the book, click here.

Rakhi Sawant and Gandhigiri

WTF headline of the day:

“I’m a true Gandhian: Rakhi Sawant.”

A choice excerpt:

On being asked how her item dance is on the line of Gandhian principles, she says, “Item dance is not a crime. It’s an art and I pursue it with a vanity. it’s takes a lot of hard work to perform. Gandhiji also believed in working hard.”

The article also has a picture of her in nothing but a loin cloth.

Ok, fine, it doesn’t, I made that last bit up. Er, are you still here?
