Check out this delightfully spirited rant by Mudra Mehta<\/a> about the language habits of the people around her. I’m sure her contemporaries—the child is 19—find her demanding, but I don’t think she is demanding enough. She tolerates ellipses, doesn’t mind sloppy English in “IM\/SMS” and writes “accord it the respect it deserves” instead of “give it the respect it deserves”.
