There is an old joke<\/a> about the guy who has surgery on his hands, and when the doctor comes to see him, asks: “Doctor, will I be able to play the piano when these bandages come off?”<\/p>\n The doctor says he will. The patient replies, “That’s funny. I wasn’t able to play it before.”<\/p>\n I am reminded of that story by an article on Toshi Sabri<\/a> in Mid Day<\/i>. Sabri, a former contestant on Voice of India<\/i>, was attacked by some unknown assailants at Andheri station recently, and the Mid Day<\/i> correspondent went to see him in hospital. He reports:<\/p>\n [Sabri] says his voice quality has improved and his memory sharpened after the attack.<\/p>\n “After my stitches were removed three days ago, I was practising a song in my hospital bed and realised I could comfortably sing high notes. Earlier, I had to put in an extra effort while singing those same notes,” said Toshi.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Hmm…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"\n
