My congratulations to Priyanka Narain for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.livemint.com\/2007\/12\/16235508\/Mint-reporter-wins-CNN-journal.html\" title=\"Mint reporter wins CNN journalism award\">being named the Young Journalist of the Year for 2007<\/a> by CNN. It&#8217;s quite an honour.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m obviously biased, but I think <i>Mint<\/i> has come on beautifully <a href=\"http:\/\/www.livemint.com\/2007\/02\/01012716\/What-you-can-expect-from-Mint.html\" title=\"What you can expect from Mint -- Raju Narisetti\">since it launched<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.livemint.com\/2007\/02\/01034518\/In-defence-of-freedom.html\" title=\"In defence of freedom -- Niranjan Rajadhyaksha\">in February<\/a>. The paper looks beautiful and is a delight to hold and browse through. Its language is crisp and clear, entirely free of the archaisms of the <i>Hindu<\/i> or the sloppiness of the <i>Times of India<\/i>. It&#8217;s a pity that it&#8217;s only available in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s also a pity that <i>Mint<\/i> has such <a href=\"http:\/\/www.livemint.com\" title=\"Livemint.com\">a shabby website<\/a>. I keep cribbing to them about that, but I suspect that the people who make it such a lovely print publication have no say in that area.
